Medical experts say we need to drink 8, 8 oz glasses of water a day. This recommendation has been around for years, the world of medicine has changed drastically since this recommended daily consumption. So why hasn’t this changed? Do you feel your body needs that amount of water a day? Well for me my body says no, if I consume as much water as “experts” say then my body kicks into fasting mode and I don’t eat all day and when I try to it’s hard to eat food. I do well with a daily intake of about 40-45oz of water, I’m not super thirsty or snacking for the wrong reasons and my body actually gets hungry. Everyone’s body is different, what’s your water intake?

yes Info about water consumption has changed throughout the years. I believe that our recommended daily water consumption generally differs by our weight, activity level and climate in which we live. I believe that we multiply our weight in lbs by .67 and that’s how many oz of water we should consume. I try to stay hydrated by drinking still water, sparkling, hot green tea, iced tea and one of my faves is coconut water.
